Yes, gong fu cha is the same as Kung Fu. It really means something more like “refined technique” or “craftsmanship”.

RELEVANT to the series: my favorite Taiwanese tea variety is “東方美人”, often translated ‘Oriental Beauty’ (it’s old-fashioned language on purpose). I think we agree that we have, well, one or more of those in this series.
