I mean, there are chapters where she is shown to be appreciative of them. She's just doing what parents do and worrying about her childrens' futures.

Well we know he's only a neet by choice, he has worked and travelled around the world in the past, and is not particularly lazy while being extremely intelligent, resourceful, brave and outgoing. Even one of his former classmates was surprised he was a neet, so why he's still a neet? Well, one possible reason would be because of his sister. She's timid by nature but probably something or another happened during the time he travelled around the world and he chose to be a neet alongside her so she doesn't feel left behind anymore.

Now until we get some more backstory for Haruko it's conjecture, but who knows when we'll get more of her backstory.

Don't forget that NEET and Hikikomori are two seperate things. Yes, someone may be both but it's not always the case.
(I just had to state this since I've seen some people mistake them as being the same.)

Yeah neets don't have social anxiety and can face ppl tho often it is similar as the lack of job or future makes ppl unable to face other people and their judgments preferring to live isolated instead.

But I guess once u can own it like mamoru owns his neetness then nothing stops him from being super social

In the very first 10 chapters of this manga its been established that he's a very competent and great guy, and the only reason he's NEET is because he didnt want his sister to feel lonely or feeling bad by being the only one in the family

The discussion is correct on all points. He even helped out a hikikomori get back on his feet. He also seems to have some rather amazing talents like as an artist he was able to create some crazy good pictures for the child in the park.
