Chapters like this piss me off because the only reason siblings' life looks good is because other people(like their father working 10+ hours per day) pay for them
You can argue that, sure. But their state of mind isn't dependent on their father's income as much as you'd think. The things they do, they mostly do without worrying for money. They stargaze, hang out with friends outside, play stupid games they make up on the spot.

Their father could still work 10 hours and those two could be miserable. But they choose not to be and were raised to be strong people. Their dad doesn't resent them, he just loves them. Why should their whimsy be shackled to the income they receive. Mamoru could totally be a silly idiot and poor.

yes, not all of us can experience such a carefree life, but isn’t that why we’re reading slice of life manga?

how have you survived thousands of chapters if something like this bothers you so much?

i think the beautiful thing about these characters is that despite being “losers,” they not only aren’t depressed about it (like this chapter was about), but they bring joy to those around them, including their parents, friends, neighbors, strangers, etc.

they may be mooching, but even they can make the world around them better in their own way. I would personally rather focus on that than “wow they’re useless bums”

You are only responsible for your children until they reach age of majority, then you can kick them out on the street

And yeah, the siblings are 100% exploiting their parent's love for them. I guess I do envy psychopaths
