Hmm, now I'm interested in Cuties. Haven't watched Hayate yet, because it's a bit long.

I don't like where this development is heading. If this is only dedicated to Nagi experiencing new things so she can make a manga, then what's the point of Ruka. For this to be more interesting, you need to build both of them up evenly cause right now, odds of Ruka winning is incredibly low. What we're shown right now is her slacking or taking a break while Nagi here is working her ass of trying to beat her. You make it seem like Ruka has it in the bag, making her look cocky and I don't like it. Because that's not what she is. So this is basically your typical shounen training arc.

TL;DR it's one-sided with Nagi's odds of winning being likely while Ruka here looking like your typical cardboard villain, which I don't like.
