The artist had to change style because the MC here and Ashley in "Principal of a Fool" looked exactly the same, which was making people think the series were related. Ashley wound up getting a makeover too.

I still really love this artist's style. His main female designs are absolutely beautiful yet still have no problem disturbing the faces for comedic value.

Everybody knows how incompetent and useless he is, not to mention his annoying attitude.

Not to mention the actual criminal behavior, and scaring away many female adventurers. The only reason he's not rotting in a prison is because he's the officially designated dump character.

I would normally assume the artist just evolved as an artist like most do. Like Bleach or Kuro no Shoukanshi—especially the latter, the art style shifts so much from original but flat, to copying one piece but toning it down, to now being unique in a good way—but if that really is the case, I'm not entirely sure how to feel about this one.

Like, more diversity in female faces is a huge improvement for this manga, but Asley was fine and I really liked it as it was.
