Yeah, that's typical for Japan, though. You're often expected to stay late every day at work and go out with your coworkers to drink after work on a regular basis. That's one of the reason they have a word in their language for "death by overwork."

The "I don't care who he screws around with as long as he comes home to me" is a Japanese thing, too - although that's one I wouldn't mind seeing more of in the US.

She could take them out, the problem is she may get found out as a member of the demons, which was the problem in question.
Also Argen doesn't just want to kill people casually and Rosie might have killed them, in front of that adventurer, so lots of bodies, witnesses and an annoying amount of trouble. Best to just save her before she causes him problems.
