ember knight, i tried a couple of chapters but couldn't get into it. someone commented that the MC stays weak the whole series & never gets stronger...that really put me off tbh
that's a shame. MC doesn't get stronger but he constantly fights his way out of things with his mind. I usually enjoy OP MCs too, but that one is seriously amazing at having a weak MC but doesn't get screwed up by others.
like, in Murim RPG, MC was also constantly weaker than the enemies he faced, and he only survived either by luck or asking the system for help. I honestly hated how weak and dumb the MC is, I only stick around because the system is interesting.
Meanwhile, in Ember Knight, while MC is indeed weak, he covers up so well that only a few knows his true strength, while others fear and respect him a lot, and he isn't completely useless in fights because
he found a way to use an unstoppable weapon.
anw I do think you should give it another try, it's a very well-written series.
