So I guess this is where the inspiration for volume 7's cover came from?
Another week, another double chapter for you, Enjoy. Only 4-5 chapters behind the raws currently, so soon caught up.

FYI: Chapter 70 coming next week, single release this time as there are quite a few bonuses in it. I'd also like to work on volume 7's Omake if I have time.

hmmm on the one hand i can imagine her convincing Yusei to reject the deal, on the other i can see her taking the deal just to ruin the production and fuck up hag cunts plans.

Sumire is a free spirit, way better to be a liverstreamer or youtuber lmao.

thanks for the double chapter!

I feel like they'd try to work with her but with her free-spirited-ness they might just end it themselves after getting enough stuff just for a season.
But then it pops off so they gotta come crawling back and ask her for another performance, another season. Then she says NO and gets more followers and stuff on social media after her populairty from the show

Why am I do excited for the next chapter?
BECAUSE I WANT YUSEI AND SUMIRE TO DEFEAT THIS EVIL HAG.
I don't know if I'd call her evil exactly. She is a low-talent burnout that has undoubtedly failed numerous times but is still desperately clinging on to her career no matter what she needs to do. Sleep with the boss, lying, emotional manipulation, guilt-tripping, trying to trick even youngsters like Yusei into giving up something significant for nothing, etc. It's all a symbol of desperation. That there are no depths she won't sink to in order to avoid washing out from her career. Her final form should ideally be as one of the morally corrupt hags orbiting and worshiping Yusei's high-talent non-burnout efforts in producing Sumire. And then at the very end of the manga series, all the hags get together to shoot a reverse gangbang JAV with Yusei as the male talent, enshrining him as the prince of hot hags.

She is evil tho.
She knows about a lot of bad things people on the entertainment business have done, some even illegal, like the "seducing a teen" thing; and instead of coming out with the info, or refusing to associate with them, the manga itself makes it clear she is a has been that uses blackmail and sexual harassment to get what she wants.
Like making that manga author wear skimpy clothes and flirt with the editor. That's sexual exploitation. The editor knows it too, and that's why he warned the other guy. Fall into her trap and you'll be blackmailed.
She it, ethically, and legally speaking, evil.
You projecting whatever weird ideas you have on Yuusei won't change that.

her evil exactly
As the above answer, she's genuinely evil, even the guy from previous Arcs did have a twisted morality from his own experiences, this one do all the classical evil tricks

get together to shoot a reverse gangbang JAV with Yusei as the male talent, enshrining him as the prince of hot hags.
Hopefully that's the special chapter

Still of course yuusei wouldn't make any choice without consulting or asking sumire about everything first

"Where TV reigns supreme"

Ooooh she had to say that, didn't she?

To be fair, it does and it doesn't. We're in a weird, quantum superposition state were TV is concerned right now. On one hand, TV has budget, resources and production quality that most youtubers cannot hope to match. On the other hand, traditional broadcast TV is becoming less relevant by the day.

That phrase just helps cement how much Kanae is stuck to her ways and unable to change.

Yuusei looking at his photo with Sumire during her idol days. I was not ready for the amount of feels in that page.

Sumire is a complete idiot regarding herself, but when the situation involves others, she can be deceptively perceptive.

And if the situation involves someone possibly screwing with Yuusei, she reaches evil genius intellect levels.

Yusei is smart enough to phone sumire and check into some shady "one day only" tv offer before making a decision.

I bet he already worked out that this supposed hotshot scriptwriter who wants sumire for the part isn't really that interested at all ( otherwise why would there only be a 24 hour deadline? why wouldn;t he reach out to Sumire? Why would he need sumire to be signed to imperial pro? why would he want to sign an unknown minor idol who has had no prior acting experience? why would a young scriptwriter have the clout to get such a show made?) .

Yeah, like, sorry to break it to some people, but live tv and radio is still popular in Japan.
