Well Yui didn’t come back because she wanted to. Her “boyfriend” blackmailed her to do what he said (distancing herself from Yukito) so she could protect Yukito from Ryuu.

Well it doesn't get much worse than physical abuse and attempted rape. I guess that makes Ryuu the worst character in the manga. It's always depressing when female leads exs are scum of the earth.

I'm still confused on who is actually paying for Yui's high school. She didn't want to go for most of the manga so it's not her. Ryuu wouldn't do it and her parents aren't paying for it.
