Architect's got the right idea: on-site investigation and pounding the pavement's for chumps. Real detectives can learn everything there is to know from a house's floorplan. Dude's gonna make a couple calls to the prefectural government, get his hands on some blueprints, and crack this case wide open.

It's like Brillat-Savarin once said: "Tell me the square footage of the finished taxable space in your primary residence, and I'll tell you what you are."

Hmm, would they'd be able to tell if there are any hidden rooms without a floorplan? if the house is completely symmetrical I suppose they may notice a difference in size of the rooms on the left and right. Wonder if they brought a tape measure.

my guess is that they pick the murderer of the family, the aunts family was trying to bail out of their responsibility. to punish them the father was killed first, then the son and that made the aunt go along with it or she and her baby were next. The baby is now the murderer. and it seems like the woman knows more than she's letting on, she could be bait to catch anyone who's close to figuring it out, intentionally or not

any chance for future chapters you could throw a black and white filter over the images so the watermarks aren't so distracting? assuming you can't get rid of them

So..... No one going to say anything about the clearly visible windows on the outside of the house?

Y'know, the house that isn't supposed to have windows?

What's THAT about?

the concurring theme is Its a "room" without windows not a house without windows.
Wait. Didn't she say the previous chapther...... Ah.... Went back to check, guess I misunderstood.

But it wasn't A room. It was that "there were no windows in the japanese style rooms". I was under the impression the whole house was nothing but those style of rooms, but what she said on the previous page was "that house had many japanese style rooms", not necessarily ALL of them.

Guess we'll see as more information is revealed
