Why you have to fight with the demon king when all you need is peace and joy. And he never wanted to come that world so why he should risk his life ? MC actually doing a good thing let that world like it is , he doesn't belongs there so why he should do all those things and going to save the world that already peaceful , be practical!

Just because you kidnap someone and tell them their new job DOESN’T MEAN they’ll have any interest in actually doing the task. You gotta force an emotional attachment onto them so the hero will be motivated, not just expect them to be a murder hobo!
