Nah, it makes sense, because you gain exp only by doing certain stuff. He's never swung a sword or used magic. But he's farmed and done other stuff a lot and because of that those skills are insanely powerful, he even created that doggo. And you can see that now that he started "training" he advanced so fast that he's already at a deamon king level.

Also due to the fact the Demon Queen is literally standing next to him, she may be acting as an EXP multiplier and is accelerating his training even faster. An additional condition, if you will…
