Literally NPCs.
Repeat the same thing over and over. You can choose to listen or not.
Direct response are to requests only, or for requests only.

He just exhausted all of their dialog.

@OniBarubary they explained that earlier they communicate thru vibrations on the ground hence the tapping if you meant how the wolf knew the language well I guess he learned and it is all thru tapping so he probably is actually really good at spea- Tapping the language

This is hilarious. And a really accurate representation of being in a foreign country without knowing the language.

"We want to check out the path before we decide!"

The bridge is part of "the path" which they all just refer to as "it" after it's mentioned the first time they probably don't have a term for bridge

one of them was talking about how he is always fixing "it" and wishes someone else would, though he is very good at fixing things
another referred to how it was "good", but how it is currently "dangerous"
two of them get on a tangent on food after talking about how they got too much and dropped some
another talks about how they need to find a new place to get rocks for tools
then they want to build kilns and stuff

they did refer to it being broken... the crowd just started talking about other stuff afterward
later the MC does note that it was probably heavy rain

Interesting chapter from the rest.

It’s like the author wanted to try to make npc culture real.

Looking at its social structure, choosing to communicate back and stating your opinion just for a topic until someone responds is entirely unique from what I know.

This situation is likely due to that the village seems to focus on craftsmanship, resting. and talking in between(as entertainment?), so these craftsmen don’t focus on courtesy too much and want to be quick to the point—no need for thanks and if you want to chime in, you can. I say dedicated craftsmen bc it seems apart from food, the villagers only intervene when they praise Sisuku for her craftsmanship.

these guys originated shitposting. you don't care if anyone is listening or not, you just want to say your piece into the void.

This series has a wonderful way of giving you just enough knowledge about a language naturally without giving so much that it feels contrived. Really interested to see Mou's village and understand him more.

It's not any special foreign NPC way of speaking.

It's a chatroom. Without the digital platform.

I'm not surprised about the bridge. One guy was talking about repairing it, another was about how good it was BEFORE, and a third went on about the supplies needed to actually go about repairing it(charcoal and kiln). That's basically the same conversation you would have on an imageboard or discord that segues into starting a project.
