Wow, this explains so much. Have any of you guys seen how much left of Higanjima there is? Well we have barely scratched the surface, there's so many chapters left that I'm completely dumbfounded on where the story could possibly go and end but I have finally found my answer.

The story ended here.

See that was one big fucking rock that not even Akira's plot armor could protect him from. Akira died there and then, instantaneously. Which is a fate considered far better then most peoples arc. Not long afterwards, Akira's friends died, and then Freckles McFugly died, and then the rest of the humans died, and then finally Master died. Every one died except for Tanaki. Tanaki went on to somehow escape the island under disguise of Akira and using what little plot armor was left inside his clothes and then after reaching the Mainland Tanaki decided to turn his life experience into a manga that we all know and love called Higanjima.

All chapters from this point onwards take place in Tanaki's head. What a series! Thank you Katcr, Dangankou, all past and future Higanjima translators, readers and commentators for following this series.
