Nothing about this was funny, it's something between being relieved you weren't going to be raped, dissociating, and denying that was something that could happen even happen. MC is also in a weird sense of self where he really doesn't want to be venerable or fragile and is spending a lot of time trying to remedy that and not accept his predicament.

Honestly, I think there will be consequences. Unlike a lot of other stories that have this as a plotpoint, orange guy is being portrayed as a violent weirdo and a creep. Iltak also wasn't laughing because he thought it was funny. It specifically points out that it was mostly from overwhelning releif. I wouldn't trust this development in the hands of most writers, but Parkgee is a competent one.
