If you look at it from another perspective, Spicy is like "Haruo who never met Akira", both started out as good players, then they started to become pedantic when they felt invincible, but in Haruo's case, Akira came to make him understand another meaning to life and made him mature.

I can see that. Akira of course plays like its not just a game to her, but she always had her own circumstances tying her down back to Earth. On the rare occasion she DID act up (running away to Kawasaki that one time) Haruo was right there to bail her out.
