I don't even know what to expect from the story.

Personally, I've dropped this since it's just gets worse and worse from now. I'm not a glutton for seriously abusive and toxic relationships.

Cesare is falling for her, as expected. Always knew that was going to happen. He's the male lead after all but that doesn't excuse his abominable actions in the previous season. The female lead still hates him but she's smart enough to have learned what gets under his skin and she's playing him like a fiddle. She was spot on to realize early on that she's disposable and how he's such a fickle man that desires what he can't have. So, she only ever gives the fake smile and fake affection, which both pushes away stronger than that pair of scissors and keeps her out of his reach. It gives her value beyond her role to play as his fake sister.

I imagine he will come to terms with his toxic nature and she will eventually reciprocate genuinely, as that's the happy ending route but it would be interesting to see a tragic/comeuppance route where he ends up ruined and she gets all she ever wanted.
