I'm actually pretty surprised at how little attention this series gets. Something as storied and lasting as Higurashi, and yet it's sequel story has less readership here than the niche manga I've been translating.

I'm actually pretty surprised at how little attention this series gets. Something as storied and lasting as Higurashi, and yet it's sequel story has less readership here than the niche manga I've been translating.

If I had to be serious, it's because people mostly feel (rightfully so, IMO) that the Higurashi story's been settled. Ryu07 I imagine also feels this way, but Higurashi is a big 07th expansion money maker, so he keeps pitching it in. Despite it's harsh reception in Japan (compared to how people feel about it in the US and China), Umineko seems to be Ryu07s personal golden child.

Why are the chapters always divided in so many parts? Are they released like this? Just wondering, bc the Higurashi Oni chapters are always released complete and it's by the same scanlation group.
