I think he just couldn't get the words out because he was dying, like in the one-shot. Probably meant 'go keep him company in my place' - he wanted the monster to use his body and go back to town like nothing happened so that yoshikki would be ok

Poor Hikaru was caught lacking by nature. So Hikaru's last wish and feelings might have influenced the Brainsnatcher. The Brainsnatcher is probably neutral rather than evil.
