Ugh, what's with the pacing between chapter 1 and 2?
It's like we've skipped a whole arc of devellopment because the author couldn't wait for them to fall in love, and the ending of chapter 2 feels unwarranted as a result, like we didn't deserve it quite yet.
It is implied (I think) that some amount of time has passed where they met and discussed mangas from the moment where they begin to interract up to the end of chapter 2, but in reading it feels like a day or two has actually passed, at most. The lack of time we spent along the characters is detrimental to the story unfolding, since we're not on the same page with them, which results in emotional dissonance between us and the them.
It's a shame, I quite like the art style, but it feels like the premisce will be tossed aside as simply an excuse to have a generic plotline instead of capitalizing on its originality.
