So rather than abuse their miscellaneous powers in order to speed up the mountain, they decided to…. Walk? At least one use of the dresses to make a mecha shiva of people to speed things up. No rocket jumping? No hastily made wagon? Cmon man. Make this a little interesting.
While it is good that Akiba’s narcissistic ways have made him not throw the match, he’s still doing everything he can to sabotage himself by thinning out the amount of people needed for the obvious team brawl at the top of the summit.
I know it ain’t gonna happen, but it would also be real funny if the people that have perma died or betrayed in the game all came back and got to vote on something, like extra item drops that causes the “nice” team Have an advantage.
I still maintain that the winning move is to throw this match since you aren’t making it out while Akiba is in lead. The addendum of there being a last place penalty just means the first move is to disable Akiba and/or toss him down the mountain.

You don't need to throw the match, Akiba's gonna do it for you lol. Ain't no way he's winning when the game is tied to his control over shibuya.

And yeah, good question: they could have the stronger dress users just carry each other. dress users are incredibly strong, as seen with how when a normal girl punches on it feels like punching concrete, they can easily carry them to the top. well, maybe they're silenced or something.

Also, I clearly remember there being disabling abilities/items in the game, surely akiba could have just used one of those instead of his limited resources (human shields). or just toss bombs into the thing without caring for the other two. it's more efficient and runs less risk of his meat shields dying while still showing that's he's a dick to the audience.

The point of throwing the match is to do it before Akiba does it to you. When he goes down it's after he's taken everyone else down with sheer incompetence and we want to aviod losing our last life(because we assume/know that he's going to steal ours with the team leader controls to keep himself alive) before things get that far.
