I mean when you bank your plan on taking advantage of a group's friendship in order to hurt or kill them, you shouldn't be surprise if they go for the vengeance stratagem, especially when lives are at stake.

Wow, who would have guessed building your plan around one aspect would fail you. This is why Akiba's honestly pretty dumb. He's just incredibly lucky that every time he banks on everything going his way everything goes his way. The moment something doesn't, he has no back up and flails around. He's only had one strategy this entire manga to turn the tides: stall until he can pull some shit out of his ass, but if that shit doesn't work, he's still as powerless as ever.

If Adachi was capable of sneaking up on a strong person and gutting them this whole time, doesn’t that mean Akiba just cost himself the element of surprise for any plans that involve a distraction? She could have picked off half of the other team if he used himself or some other people to draw aggro vs each group but instead he had to waste it to keep himself alive because his planning is shit.

Akiba domination streak ends at 22 chapters, huh... I was looking forward to it, but this is kinda lame. No duh they aren't gonna choose to drop their weapons to get tortured AND lose, over losing one member. Weird blunder, should have just had Adachi off her, and use THAT distraction to heal.
Well actually it doesn't actually matter, he's really just in the same position he was in before they caught him off guard with the boss sub weapon when you think about it. The important thing was getting a chance to heal, which worked. Right now it just comes down to skill in an even fight.

Nah, notice she snuck up on the pair that just switched places (who by her own admission she has absolutely no clue how to even play). Adachi doesn't have super sneaking powers or something, no way it would work anywhere else, and anyone that it would work on wouldn't have much value anyway if they were that terrible. Not enough value to waste Adachi on them anyway, who is more suited to fighting the leader with Akiba.
