Edit for the 2mm debate: in the raws Screenshot 2025-01-07 141631.png
it's (一 一ミリ小銃弾を) which means 11mm but accidently i thought it meant ( 二ミリ小銃弾を) which means 2mm sooo sorry for that :haa:

It's back! Thank you for your hardwork. I know it's hard to read so many Kanji's (Already read the raw, got headache with all kanji's) and try to match it with military words. Thank you.

Hang on…2mm bullets? That’s tiny! For reference, that’s what the Kolibri uses! It’s basically a shotgun pellet. That doesn’t sound “powerful”.

Now if we’re talking 20mm, that sounds appropriately large enough for orcs.

Could also be missing the 1 in the beginning, making it a 12mm instead, almost equivalent to a bullet like a .50 cal.

Whatever the intended ammunition size is, imagine when the Orcs start getting self-loading guns. 12mm for the average rifleman, 20mm for machine guns. Everything will be bigger!

My thoughts exactly. Note that they are using single-shot rifles, which puts it closer to the Franco-Prussian war era (the manga refers to the rifles as Gev.74). Rifles of that era fired black powder cartridges of around 11mm caliber, like the Martini-Henry or Springfield model 1884.
Magazine fed bolt action rifles are the standard by WWI.

The Orcsen Gew 74 looks like it’s based on the German Gew 71 which fired a 11.15mm round, so it’s probably supposed to be 22mm, seeing as the comparison picture showed it being about twice the size of a comparable human or elf rifle

The Orcs seem to be just way better lol, they can just carry way bigger guns. Humans and elves don't seem to be special here, wonder how they would combat this.

what does "Parachute division" here means? planes haven't been shown to be used, are they dropping them from balloons or dragons?
