Shoddy TL work, why snipe chapter 1 from the other tl'er, which was a much higher quality TL, and then rush to do ch2? This isnt even the only manga I've seen this happen to. Why do MTL'ers, or daisy chain translators always feel it necessary to do this?

Thank you for reading! In fact I noticed that as well. In the LN there are more monologues, and it captures the teacher’s thoughts better. In this veraion I tried to reflect that, but even in the original Japanese version of the manga there are some monologues that appear in the LN are omitted.

Thank you for your comment! I just wanted to help the English release catch up with the Japanese one, since the manga is already at chapter 3 while the English version was still only at chapter 1 (even the Spanish version was further ahead).
So, to help align them, I made sure to keep the English version as faithful as possible, preserving the tone, nuances, and meaning of the original Japanese.

Thank you for your comment! I just wanted to help the English release catch up with the Japanese one, since the manga is already at chapter 3 while the English version was still only at chapter 1 (even the Spanish version was further ahead).

It doesn’t take a genius to debunk all of that BS buddy. “Wanting to ‘help’ catch up” is the excuse of every shameless sniper; you’re just desperate for attention and want to take over the series despite it already having been picked up and released consistently by a better scanlator. If you wanted to ‘help’, why not communicate with the scanlator who already picked it up see if they could use more hands? And like, we were just two chapters behind not 100, and already on a reasonable pace to catch up, so your ‘help’ was completely unnecessary. I don’t get why you’re trying so hard to look like the good guys.
I’m amazed how you can with a straight face say “you made sure to keep things faithful and preserving tone” or whatever when your translation is just unedited heavy MTL. You clearly show a lack of basic linguistics skills in both JP and EN, and you have no clue what’s being said or how to say it.
I don’t believe you’re even translating directly, it’s probably just a rip from your spanish version, considering your little ‘mishap’ in your previous chapter.
TL isn’t even the only issue. Every other aspect including cleaning, redrawing, typesetting etc., show a bad foundation of scanlation skills, and no care and love for the series. It’s all lazy work.
Normally no one would have a right to spout all this crap I’m spouting, and I’d even be thanking you for respectfully picking up a new series no matter how bad the scan is. But this sniping behavior is garbage and tramples on the efforts of others, and it pisses me off so much, especially with how you’re trying hard to justify it.
Just move on from the series and let the scanlator do their thing dude. This is very annoying and no one asked for it. There are many series waiting to be picked up that you can do instead

Why don't you just offer to help the other person then? It's considered pretty disrespectful to snipe someone's series they've picked up, much less in a considerably lower quality.

Do you not realize that doing this crap puts pressure on the other TL and frustrates them as those lazy releases are faster, so they’ll feel rushed to get their releases out and their good quality will decrease, all because of the lazy work you’re putting out?
What about the aggregator sites that’ll just pick up the faster release, and with this being such bad quality, spreading a bad reputation for the series?
What would you do if the other TL gets so frustrated that they drop the series? You’ll be happy that people are now reading only your lazy crap instead of a version obviously made with love?
Where’s the “freedom” when this is just one-sided negative pressure on a decent scanlation?

Your group is already doing the Spanish version of this, and we got a scanlator for the English version. Just “enjoy” what your group did. Why did you just waltz in on the English version that was going well?
If you for some reason wanted to “enjoy” doing the English version too, you could have done it respectfully by communicating and asking whoever picked this up if you could help. Why the utter disrespect and disregard for others?

I have since retracted that consent and notified the sniper of that. I'll make a bit of a statement regarding this thing in my next release, which will be around the usual time. In the meantime please refrain from attacks as this will never go anywhere anyway.

Well, I tried to talk with the other TL in order to coordinate the releases, but since they didn’t want to, I’ll continue uploading on my own schedule. If you think this version doesn’t meet your expectations for whatever reason, no worries, you can simply wait for the other version. Nobody is putting pressure on their release; I’m just doing this at my own pace.
As for “consent,” I think it’s important to remember that this is all unofficial and done purely as fan work. Official consent would only apply once the series is licensed in English, you can simply wait until it gets licensed and buy it then.
