in reality, it truly is just about getting stronger. He needs to sharpen his shit up, train harder and get back into that killer mindset. I'm surprised the author wrote Shin pointing that out, but it just makes the next sentences uttered by the main character sound even more stupid.
"The reason I have no power right now... and the meaning of power." It feels so unbelievably stupid to read that right after Shin (the GOAT) correctly pointed out that there is no deep, philosophical answer to his problem and that he just needs to lock in and step up the grind.

I guess they're trying to say that this is simple but complicated to reach. I'd also argue that teenagers are notorious for making simple things complicated.
