When MC should be using his identify skill every second of the day to make his character more suspicious and aware of his surroundings, I don't see him doing it. This author is average.

It's really, like... REALLY weird that Erna/Erena/Elena the Elf says:
"I can't believe this is happening to the whole town."
Like... how do you find it surprising? You saw the beginning of the problem, and said nothing about it; then you saw it progress, and still did not say (nor do) anything; and as it got worse.... you still didn't do or say shit about it, other than to complain.
She's like people who don't pay attention to politics, and then act surprised when their parents/friends/neighbors die from the political fallout from bad decisions.... or something like that...
I'm just trying to figure out if Mangaka-san is trying to teach a lesson through her (lack of) actions, or if they find this normal and acceptable behavior.
