Two years later.... We finally get...

New companion and possible lover?
She obviously thinks very little of her brother, and seems to appreciate that he has been... removed from the gene pool. I can almost imagine her train of thought here. Something along the lines of, "My father and brother are both garbage. I can't just sit here and look pretty while they drag our name through the mud. I need to do something to make us look respectable. This "Engraving" skill looks like it'll do the job."
And then you have Smison who can not only keep his head in a dire situation, but also turns out to be a prodigy at "Engraving"... something which it seems this girl wants to become her family's bread and butter.
I'm betting she wants him as her consort. It's like the dragon woman all over again. "Why, hello~! You're pretty good despite what you say about being ordinary... Let's make some babies, shall we~?"
