Iruma is probably my favorite manga and I enjoyed seeing Nishi's earlier work and how what happened in this series shaped her future works

Yep. Ultimately it did lead to Nishi serializing Iruma, so it wasn’t a big loss.

At the same time, you can definitely tell it’s her first work. The characters aren’t as memorable as Iruma and co. would be later on, most of the conflicts are just “Tanaka does everything because he’s Tanaka”, the main cast just doesn’t really bond with each other well. It’s still good, but a little unrefined. Maybe like a 7/10.

Hotel Hellheim was originally released in Jump SQ in three volumes. It was rereleased by Akita Shoten in two, so you're both right and wrong

Heh, the whole "Welcome to hotel Helheim!" panel was basically copied from chapter 1.

I went back to skim through the previous chapters to look for The Black Thing. Chapters 2 and 3 have a black blob-like hotel staff who wears a hat, but they are average height (as tall as Mei, sorta), and they sometimes appear in the same panel as The Black Thing, so i suppose they are not the same.

Yeah I know. I just had to do it like that for it to get the (END) tag. I need to adjust the previous chapters so it's like how the original volumes are
