It would at least be interesting to have the main character have some internal strife about being attracted to another guy. Maybe have a realisation about himself? But then the author would be dangerously close to giving this plain-white-drywall motherfucker a hint of a personality, and we can't have that here!

This manga is a prime example of why 100% wish fulfillment stories are boring. You can't have any characters with strong/interesting personalities, because those kinds of personalities create friction when they come into contact.
