The events of Kudo saving Skrell are covered in Chapter 1 of this story. I had no idea there was a related canceled manga! Thanks for the info.

I felt like I missed a backstory with this chapter so I searched the author and found an axed manga called Houkago no Dungeon Divers, showing Skrell being saved by Kudo, as shown in his flash back.

The other one’s a previous adaptation. For whatever reason, they decided to cancel that and start over with a new artist. That one had a less dopey, more generic artstyle, and had some differences (eg: Skre’s a lot less expressive, and her clothes looks more one-piece and less consistently-depicted.)

Also yeah ch1 does have MC freeing Skre. @RavenMark316 you looked for a refresh and found the other dimension instead lmao.

the previous adaptation was only made to advertise the LN, it wasn't cancelled it just ran its course. This adaptation has no such restrictions afaik
