To be honest, I like that about this doujin work and was going to comment as much. Haruki isn't 100% girl emotionally/mentally and that's part of the appeal of gender bend works. I've read a lot of them where the main character adjusts 100% right away and it sorta stops feeling like a gender bend work. (and realistically, adjusting to such a dramatic social role change probably would take years anyway)

Granted, you could rewrite Haruki as a soft tomboy or a girl on the spectrum and not much would change. But maybe that's part of the takeaway of MtF gender bend works. (i.e. we're more alike than not under the surface)
