how to keep the update list organized, without blocking release from a title?

I think that I'm not the only one that from time to time gets the update list into a mess, because someone starts to upload chapters like there is no tomorrow. so I ask if there is any way to avoid that without losing notifications to the title?

Just an example, this series got "uploaded" and it took from page 5 to page 20 something... and the only way I know to see if there is another one of the series I follow is to check page by page...

any suggestion will be appreciated.

This kind of posts go better in Support. First of all, to have more items in a single page (every individual upload counts as one item, even if it's the same series) go to "Items per Page" in settings and set the maximum, 100 (I also have list multiplier x5). Check that the content filter has all the kinds you want (from Safe to Pornographic) and I normally add to Block List the groups and uploaders that take you to another page where you need an account to read anything (or they simply duplicate chapters). Moreover, check that the Original Language Filter shows only the languages you want to read from (if you only want Japanese and Chinese choose both, for instance) and the languages you want from Chapter Language Filter.
Those are all the existing tools, the most important one in your case is probably "Items per Page" but every grain helps.
