It's because usually their scanlations got ripped and posted on illegal websites that have shit tons of ads in it, so Mangadex and their websites should be the only way to read their scanlations and not on some random manhwa sites

You say that, but i typed their website in on a whim and the home page alone had like 3-5 pop-ups, and that in combination with them placing something like 10 of the large, obnoxious logos in the span of 2 pages leads me to believe that they just want to drive viewers to their site so they get ad revenue

Yeah I commented that before I checked their website, it still doesn't change my point, it's like you said it's so they drive viewers to their website, but that's not a bad thing, because those scanlations team as it's name, a team, they're not doing this out of just pure hobby, they have to pay the translator, type setter, etc. It's better that the ad revenue goes directly to the scanlations team instead of some bot farming website that just steals their scanlations

Understood, i just wish they'd make their logo a bit smaller, turn down the opacity a bit, and maybe limit it to 3 times a page max
