Hi, I hope you don't mind if this should be in other forum.
I watch the Hyouge Mono anime and the manga simultaneously. It is a captivating story both ways, but in my objective opinion, the manga is much better and clearer than the anime. I embarked on the journey to subtitle Episode 1. Now I want to share the fruits of labor with you. I actually don't have enough time to sub the entire anime and I hope somebody else can pick up my slack which should be easy enough.
Below is the download and my thought process.

Thoughts:
At first I directly replaced the anime lines with the manga text, but I couldn't fit all sentences in (although a surprising number did). Consequently, I was forced to cut down the length and complexity of a lot of sentences and words. Rare and complicated words take extra time to read. The process happened especially in the opening scene, please don't be too annoyed at that, as it's the best of all possible worlds. I also kept some lines in the anime that were actually better than the manga's.

The best improvement in my opinion is the scene where Hashiba brags about his death poem at the fountain, which was extremely confusing in the anime subtitles but crystal clear in the manga. I think this is also important to the story, since it paints a picture of his character.

If there is interest, I might do another episode.

Comparison of the Hashiba scene.
Anime subtitles before (unknown author):
Code:
NPC: I am surprised he composed and recited his final poem, given his remaining time.
Hashiba: Twas mere child's play.
Hashiba: His followers would be beheaded had he refused to recite it.
Hashiba: As he had conceded, he was allowed to end his own life.
Hashiba: The pompous old fox would have done so, regardless.
NPC: If so, why compose a poem of reconcile?
Hashiba: I was the one who composed it.

Anime subtitles after (Oresama+Anime):
Code:
NPC: 'tis fortunate that Matsunaga already prepared his death poem.
Hashiba: Why, that was no trouble at all.
Hashiba: Had he not done so, my men would've beheaded him.
Hashiba: However, if he wrote the poem, I would allow him suicide.
Hashiba: Matsunaga wanted a spectacle, so his choice was an obvious one.
NPC: Then, the poem's contents...
Hashiba: Were written by me.
