I could say the same of you. Let's be real, the focus here wasn't on the infection. That was just the excuse for the kiss. Sure, the CPR is literally on screen but think about why the author wrote it. Notice how the second Hiromi suggests she do it, Oda immediately gets a weird look on her face, stops calling it artificial resuscitation instead changing to kiss, and tries to look for a reason to dissuade her? Immediately followed by them progressively blushing more and more because the narrative is no longer treating it as "medical intervention", now it's a kiss. This is further exemplified in the art. The next chapter has Hiromi looking down at him following the act, and then immediately zooms further into her face. Where does it zoom... To her surprised and worried eyes? No, we get a full panel of her open mouth surrounded by sweat and drool instead. Writing CPR as an excuse for kissing is literally a decades old trope. Don't just look at what is in the text bubbles. Think about the words the author uses, the expressions they portray on the characters, the things they choose to focus on.

Like, this is literally less than 10 chapters on from the author having the girls prepare themselves to look their best to bathe with him all while having love talk about if they like him and that Oda had sex with him. All the while he is outside fighting hordes and they're just doing nothing but waiting for him like a prize to be won. It is genuinely baffling to me any person can read these chapters and assume there is no waifu shit going on in these seemingly serious moments.
