in order to get this result they would have needed to:
1. go out of their way to disable anti aliasing
2. add drop shadow to the text
3. use an AI upscaler to remove any last bit of quality from the image
i'm now convinced this scan is an intentionally bad troll. But considering anti-aliasing has been an enabled by default feature of photoshop for at least the past 15 years, this really does not surprise me.
