Seems like the story has potential. :wooow:
An Underdog MC trying his best despite knowing he is low-tier is usually a pretty interesting read.
Even if they end up OP because of premonitions/knowledge from previous lives/ other Mcguffin.:glee:

Edit:
some spoilers and thoughts on the story after reading all ( 23 ) chapters so far
after reading further the Protagonist is not a total weakling and does start out decently strong for his age at least.
(He is only a kid so far as the manga starts off years before the original game does )

The protagonist's original character was weak.
But the fact that knows the original game and has a much more mature personality helps him get much stronger.

The main plan is to convert the mid-boss into one of the good guys.
But he also makes serious attempts to get himself stronger as a backup plan.

The story beat suggests he might end up as strong or stronger than the original game's MC by the start of the game.
But that is my personal speculation as we have yet to meet the MC and the protagonist is still young.

He kinda breaks the original storyline of his original character as he was originally very weak and timed.
(The protagonist is reincarnated as an optional extra party member of the original games MC )
So it is highly likely the timeline is going to change later down the line, but again speculations...

The Protagonist characters from the game have good stats(for their age ) and a great hidden ability.
He can become super strong later in the game's story if you invest in him and do the right events in the game.

The Protagonist's original character is only considered bad in the game as he starts out weaker than the original party members.
And starts off so emotionally unstable which can cause him to sometimes disobey direct orders in the game.
(he is ofc still stronger than most common people being a hero unit and all... )

The protagonist breaks the storyline by using his game knowledge to unlock his hidden power earlier than intended.
So he ends up as a super strong kid just like the original MC and his team members.
( one of them is a family member of the originally weak protagonist )

The Protagonist's ability makes it so he can dodge ALL attacks and automatically know when he is in danger.
But the ability is at first overwhelming and uncontrollable and takes over control of the body when it happens.
It also triggers PTSD attacks every time it triggers which resulted in the original protagonist being such a mess.

And also from being bullied by his extended family when young. ( his sibling and parents are cool beans though and help a lot )
It was mainly because of the protagonist's ability and his original timid personality that he allowed himself to be bullied.

The new protagonist has a more mature personality than the original and can somewhat resist the ability's influence.
( which sometimes also makes him get hurt because he ignores the "help" of the ability )

The original character never tried to ask for help ( probably because of PTSD ) which the new reincarnated protagonist does.
He also beat the shit out of his bullies who technically are weaker than him.
They only managed to bully him because of the original protagonist's aversion to fighting people and he never asked for help.
( Which again, likely is because of the ability causing serious PTSD )

That game must be pretty hard if a mid level boss is world threatening :pacman:
Well, I cant imagine what the end/post-game bosses are capable of, if the halfway one can cause global annihilation
I could be wrong, but considering how many endings result in world collapse, this feels more like one of those cheap difficulty games where it hides bad ends in areas you wouldn't expect.

"Oh you beat this early game boss 4 hours in but didn't use the secret item (that you find by checking the same garbage can three times) on her afterward? Well she came back 50 hours later above the level cap to kick your ass, game over!"

That kind of thing.

It would be crazy if the plot twist is that the reason she goes psycho is that something happened with MC's possessed body and he is just repeating the cycle
