If the MC never got her cultivation fixed and she+her dad are hated by the patriarch, how on Earth did she even become a villainess anyone would have paid any attention to? Her significance is too tiny. If her dad is partially disgraced, and thus has lost much of his influence, and the MC had no influence to begin with, how exactly did she manage to mess with anyone enough to get called a villainess?

My thing is that ostracism, trash potential, mysterious birth circumstances, those are all clearly protagonist backstory elements.

Villainess characters usually have at least enough social status and potential to rub in MC's face. And they often have pretty clear birth circumstances. In fact they're often accompanied by at least one villainous parent.
