"I hated my father"
IF she was actually this villainous character, gaining the new perspective of who she is in the novel wouldn't suddenly fix all her bad character traits. It also wouldn't automatically cause her to forgive her father. I'd understand if she wants to change and starts taking action, but such changes take time and don't happen immediately.
She keeps telling us she was a villain, or is a villain, how about you SHOW us how you were or are a villain.
