well id say its all planned by the interference and still makes sense to meLast few chapters have been dumb. attack happened sooner > force attacked evangeline > she got sneak attacked by a golem > Her horse ran away > her leg got broken. Writer really just forced everything so that she would be in a bad spot.
That sequence of events is more coincidence than perfectly planned. In terms of the attack happening sooner and the force moving to attack her, maybe the enemy had that intel, but she had to have not left yet by the time the force arrived and her means of escape by horseback and on foot from a lumbering golem was removed by chance. The sneak attack itself was absurd in the fact that something so big would be extremely obvious and loud.well id say its all planned by the interference and still makes sense to me
Uh no, not forced. But part of the plot. Something is interfering, and is done to add higher stakes to this. It keeps things intense.Last few chapters have been dumb. attack happened sooner > force attacked evangeline > she got sneak attacked by a golem > Her horse ran away > her leg got broken. Its forced because the series of events is not only unlikely but some of it doesn't make any sense. She had to not detect the MASSIVE golem and get hit by it, her horse had to run away instead of staying nearby, her leg had to break so she couldn't outrun the lumbering golem. The sequence of events is contrived. Aspects of it are fine on their own, but all of this happening at once is too ridiculous. Rather than intense, it's just weird and cheap. I get that suspension of disbelief is a thing, but when you string together a long series of unlikely coincidences to create conflict it's just bad.Uh no, not forced. But part of the plot.
