This story had progressed so perfectly up until these last few chapters...
If he really wanted to ask for help there would be a ton of better ways than to make the one being asked hostile towards you.
And why, pray tell, did her intelligence plummet? oh right, to further the plot.

Its so sad whenever character assasination is used to progress the plot, but it is unfortunately extremely common 😞
