Im starting to hate this stereotype of an EMPEROR that is oddly impotent when it comes to his kids' matter. I cant buy an emperor thats oddly unable to take care of his children but they want to? They always use the "He still have problems from losing his lover" as if an emperor would be so weak for that. If they are that weak, they would have stopped being an emperor. This emperor is so bad that he couldnt get information about his daughter's mansion state. Couldnt judge that the state of the mansion was clearly wrong and maybe he should take action unless he was his daughter to take action instead for the sake of her own growth.
Rare instance of manhwa having an emperor that take his children as plaything but with in mind for they have to show him whos more fit for the throne is
That Villain's Life, I'll Live It Once.
They do sometimes play with an emperor who is just a front and the nobles are the one having the real authority. That would make some sense that the emperor could be impotent. But i would still prefer them making a proper emperor who actually prioritize the empire.
