I'm not sure if it was a manhwa or a manhua, but it was definitely not a manga. It basically went like this:
MC used to be the "hero" and leader of the best guild in the game but was used by his vice leader who was a mage I believe. So then he was potrayed as the "villain" and the vice became the "hero". But the MC has the "key" (I'm not sure if it really was a literal key) to the new update and without that key, other players can't go to the new area.
