This chapter was so weird. He was speaking as if he knew exactly what she was thinking the whole time. "looks like you can't sleep" "looks like you're hiding you're awakened" "looks like I've worried you." "looks like you're anxious." His responses were really neutral again too. At least he had some kind of expression. There are so many weird aspects of him sitting there watching her sleep but neither of them thought anything of it. I wouldn't be able to sleep easily knowing someone was staring at me the whole time. I certainly couldn't just sit and watch someone sleep, either. Wouldn't he be bored as fuck and just ask to go back in the inventory?
I wanted to like this but the writing has been terrible so far. I can't get invested at all.
