I bet that this new character, be it some spirit of the sword or the original Asha or something completely different, has fused with the AR Cat, considering its colour change after the blackout.

My guess is, that whatever happens in this new unique path and the revolution in the techdystopia they both lead to a similiar ending: our MC will sacrifice herself both in the game and in her world and then get a happy ending as Asha ressurrected in the not-so-game world.
Also I bet the title will turn out to be false eventually and she will have to face pain even in the game.
