As we understand, in the end she realizes who the girl truly was, which I guess is some sort of message that they're the same, but I don't know how to interpret it.
They're both fake assholes to an extent, but the protagonist saw past that and went to her funeral out of respect, I guess?
A final thought would have helped, lol. It feels... I don't know. It's lacking the direct clarity of a final message for me.
