It's pretty common for korean manhua, other than the official webtoons site where i assume the actual creators would get some money, pretty much the only one i've seen /not/ behind a paywall is RizzFables (which has popups on mobile but i usually just browse with an ad blocker with a browser) but usually it's like one chapter ahead and you only have to wait a week as opposed to "Ten free chapters, but you have to pay for the next 50 chapters" either way it'd be good to just wait like a a few monts/read some stuff done by MD translators and just check on any series you're interested in like once a year , tho depends on the series
