Yeryon has pointed out nicely that bad things that happened to Seori was not because of her, so why then she said something clearly evil: "I don't want to see you happy?" She could have worded her stance differently, like "I simply don't like you," or "I don't think you're a good match for my brother," or anything else. Her pre-condition was just opposing and "bullying" Seori afterall, which she had always did with good reasons.
