This was a great chapter, and Im happy we're being introduced to more characters and that they dont act as a monolith. But the talking about what Ichi will do without even asking still rubs me the wrong way. This is going to go into slightly later The Wheel of Time Spoilers, so I will mark it as such I have the same issue in a couple places during the later half of the Wheel of time. Such as when The dragon walks into Tar Valen and suddenly is expected to be collared and obey all orders as if hes nothing more than a raving fool, despite his civility and obvious saneness. This also goes when an Ashaman steps in and tells that the Source is cleansed, hes disregared completely until its mentioned that hes a warder, to the point his "handler" is told to keep better eyes on him. This also happens how the Aes Sedai are so frustrated that they could be taken in a type of warder bond from the men, as if they cannot fathom the fact that they the all perfect witches are put in a position where they dont hacve all the power. This doesnt mean I hate this, I love this series tbh. But I think this will come to a head soon where Ichi himsel says what he wants to do and is either given the ability to have that conversaiton or leaves if they do not let him. Im interested to see what path is taken, and how him existing is going to shake up the world at large.
