Bruh, unreliable narrator stories like this piss me off and intrigue me because I want to know the actual facts. We have been duped so many times about it being a dream, I still low key think this is a dream.

I kinda get what the author is doing. I think they're using the "dreams" to show how imperfect each family dynamic is, and this iteration is showing the drawbacks of zero discipline for fear of reinacting the abuse Tsubasa and the others suffered.

Sadly, jerking the audience around from each dynamic so quickly completely undermines the message because it's really hard to become attached.
